The Stansport portable outdoor butane camping stove gives you ultra-quiet, reliable operation in a compact design. It offers matchless lighting with an electronic ignition that really works and comes with a carry/storage case.

With output of 10,000 BTU the flame is hot enough to cook your meals quickly and efficiently.  It operates on a single 8-oz butane canister (not included) and comes with a carry/storage case for protection and easy portability.  This camping stove is easier to carry than the usual two burner stoves and provides more heat.  Some friends used this as their main cooking stove on a 3 week camping trip through eastern Canada and found it to be very energy efficient.

While cooking over a campfire is fun there are times when you need the convenience of a stove to cook over.  It’s even nicer if the camping stove has a removable grill made to fit.  The Primus Atle BBQ camping stove fits the bill.  This propane stove gives reliable convenient heat perfect for cooking or grilling in the outdoors.

The stove features one 12,000 BTU burner and one extended grill burner with a removable non-stick surface grill.  The stainless steel cover and burner tray are lightweight yet sturdy.  Each burner has its own adjustable flame control.  The folding attached side wind shields keep the burners on in windy conditions.  The whole stove packs up compactly and has an integrated handle making the stove very portable.

Use a camping grill for opwn fire cooking on picnics

There are some foods that have some additional appeal when cooked over a wood fire. Perhaps you don’t want to have them all that often but once or twice a year when they can be eaten shortly after picking can be tasty. Things like sweet corn and baked potatoes wrapped in tin foil and placed in the hot coals can be very tasty. Some items can be cooked on the grill over an open fire. What can you do if this appeals to you but you don’t want to go camping?

A camp grill can be used at home if you have the wood and your area permits it. While you are at it use your camping stove for the rest of the meal. Then sleep at night in your own bed and know you had some of the fun of camping. Think of this for those picnics where everyone gets together. Have fun!

A camping stove helps you be prepared

It can be a lot of fun to cook over an open fire and that is part of what camping is about. However, on the down side it does rain and there are times that you just don’t want to take the time to build a fire. After all camping can be more than sitting around a fire. That is where a good camping stove can come in.

I make sure that my camping stove always has fuel and it becomes a backup in case electricity is out. For those of you who have a natural gas pipe line it isn’t any issue but we are all electric and the boy scouts say be prepared.

A small camping stove when cargo space is short

It only has one burner keeping its size small but for a cup of coffee or a quick meal it would work. It also would be small enough to take on a hike if desired.

Space for transporting goods can be at a premium even if you drive to your campsite. A camping stove can be thought as unnecessary cargo if the plan is to cook over an open fire. The problem is if the weather is wet or you would like a cup of coffee in a hurry a camping stove is great. A Stansport portable stove could be the answer.

A camping stove doesn’t beat a camp grill for fun cooking

A large number of campers plan on cooking at least one meal over an open fire. A good camping stove is great but doesn’t create then memories that we desire. To cook a good meal your do need a camping grill that can be moved to the right spot of the fire. The of course can be a question of what to cook. Steaks are always good but I prefer one of several types of hot dishes.

One reason I prefer a hot dish is the fire isn’t usually even in heat so you can work around it by stirring the pot. That way nothing burns and it is easy to make a little extra. People eat more outside so a little extra isn’t an issue.

A camping stove for hikers

I wrote some articles recently about spending time with your spouse on a long weekend with the idea that they spend some time alone just the two of them. Cost of course is always an issue in this economy so finding low cost ways to get away is always great. If the idea of hiking to a remote site for a long weekend appeals to you still need to cook food.

The Stansport portable outdoor stove works great for hikers since it takes less space and weight than most camping stoves. Cooking over fire is great but many times a little assistance from a stove for quick meals or coffee is needed. Remember to get alone it doesn’t mean that you have to hike a great distance; just far enough that people won’t want to bother you.

A camping grill works as a camping stove

Anyone who goes camping knows that a good camping stove is required to make meals without a lot of work. I suggest also that a few meals be prepared ahead of time and heated up in a kettle to reduce the amount of cooking needed. However, nothing beats at least one meal cooked with a wood fire. A favorite meal of mine is camp pasty. There are many different versions but I will give you mine. Be prepared to alter the ingredients to suit your tastes.

I use a pound of lean ground beef, three or four chopped potatoes, carrots and onions. Season with salt and pepper as desired and put in basket made of tin foil. Put the   result in hot coals or over low flames on a camp grill. It cooks rapidly so keep an eye on it.

A camping stove for remote areas

Planning a camping or hiking trip with care means that some thought has to go towards food. We might want to but we can’t plan on living on fish for several days. Even if we could it still needs to be cooked. Cooking over a fire sounds like fun but isn’t always the best idea if we have a choice. However, one problem is a camping stove requires space and weight and that can be critical.

The Stansport portable butane stove does reduce that problem. Its compact design gives the user that chance to have a stove when it is needed. Building and cooking a fire can be fun but sometimes a stove is nice when a fast meal is nice.
