eurepic282287Camping with children is always a little awkward after the children get a little older. The children really don’t want to sleep right next to their parents and the feeling is mutual. Big two room tents work but give some thought to two smaller tents. That is what we did when our children were of that age. There are several reasons for it.

Large camping tents take a lot of work to set up particularly when there is a breeze or under poor lighting. Sometimes the children either camp alone or stay at home with friends and then the extra space isn’t needed. Smaller tents are easier to carry if you want to camp in a remote spot along way from your car. One drawback is you might have to make additional trips, However, if you are using a canoe they might fit into the canoe easier.
